Privacy Policy

A clear explanation of how ScanBridge handles information.

1. Who this policy applies to

This policy applies to ScanBridge’s public website and its features. ScanBridge is a health-navigation project for medical imaging in Lebanon; it is not a healthcare provider and does not provide medical care.

2. Information we may handle

3. Information that stays on your device

The emergency preparation card is created in your browser. ScanBridge does not receive its contents. If you print or download it as a photo, a copy is created on your own device; share it only with people you trust.

4. Services that process information

We use Netlify to host the site and receive form submissions, and Google Gemini to generate Milo responses. These providers may process information under their own terms and privacy practices, potentially outside Lebanon. Do not send sensitive, identifiable, or urgent health information to Milo or through a form.

5. Why we use information

We use it to operate the website, respond to messages, review feedback, protect the service from misuse, and improve navigation content. We do not sell personal information or use submitted information to make medical decisions about anyone.

6. Retention and security

We keep form submissions only as long as reasonably needed to review, respond, or improve the service, then delete or aggregate them when appropriate. We use reasonable safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

7. Your choices and requests

You can avoid forms and Milo entirely, clear your browser’s local preferences, and ask about access, correction, or deletion of information you submitted by using the contact page. We will handle reasonable requests under applicable law.

8. Children

ScanBridge is not designed to collect personal information from children. A parent, guardian, or trusted adult should help a younger person use the site. Do not submit anyone’s private health information.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the site or its data practices change. The effective date at the top will show when it was last revised.
